The tightly woven base is surrounded by gently rising sides and a substantial bound rim, with the handmade construction clearly visible throughout.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow a very decorative piece in its own right. Its 46cm diameter makes it particularly good displayed flat on a table or console, used as a large bowl, or hung on a wall where the woven pattern can be properly seen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is wear throughout from age and use, including rubbing and losses to the darker surface finish, particularly around the rim, alongside small irregularities to the weave.
