Antique Berber storage chest from the Ouarzazate region of southern Morocco.
Constructed in wood and hand-painted with geometric motifs in natural pigments. The surface has worn back over time, leaving a muted palette of earth tones, charcoal and faded red.
Unlike later brightly decorated examples, this piece retains a more restrained and aged character, with visible wear consistent with use.
