Berber terracotta oil jar from the High Atlas region of Morocco.

These tall vessels were traditionally used for storing olive oil and preserved fats in domestic kitchens. Each example is hand-thrown in earthenware with a narrow foot and gently tapering body.

The surfaces show mineral deposits, firing variation and traces of use, including areas of internal glaze and occasional drips where oil once seeped through the clay over time.

Each vessel is unique in tone and form, with irregularities consistent with handmade pottery and age.
