A vintage Anatolian kilim with a strong, graphic design and unusually good colour throughout. Woven in wool, the rug is built around three large geometric medallions, framed by angular borders in red, indigo, faded pink, black, and soft ivory.
There is a directness to the pattern that gives the piece real presence without feeling overly decorative. The colours have softened slightly with age, but still remain vivid and clear. Small variations in the weave and areas of wear are consistent with an older handmade rug and sit naturally within the piece.
A versatile rug that works equally well in more traditional interiors or cleaner contemporary spaces where the pattern can speak for itself.
