A large vintage Chinese porcelain vase decorated in underglaze blue with birds amongst flowering peonies and foliage.
The rounded body has a broad neck with two moulded animal-form handles, surrounded by repeating floral and scroll decoration. Further painted borders continue around the shoulder and faceted foot.
The underside carries an apocryphal reign-style mark. This is a later decorative piece and is not being represented as a period example.
Good vintage condition with light marks and variations to the glaze and decoration consistent with age and manufacture. Please refer to photographs.
