Vintage Indian Painted Glazed Cupboard

A vintage wooden cupboard from India, with two glazed doors and a single shelf running across the interior.

The cupboard has been painted in a pale pinkish cream, now heavily worn through years of use to reveal areas of an earlier deep red finish and the timber beneath. Simple metal handles sit at the centre of the two doors, while the carved detailing to the feet adds a subtle decorative element.

A useful freestanding piece with plenty of storage, while the glazed front makes it particularly good for displaying ceramics, tableware, books or collected objects.

This is an old, well-used piece and has knocks, scratches, paint loss, marks and irregularities throughout. The glass also shows signs of age and use. These are all part of the cupboard's existing condition rather than a newly distressed finish.
