A vintage Moroccan Hanbel with broad red and charcoal stripes, interspersed with bands of diamonds and bold zigzag motifs. Faded pink, cream and muted ochre details soften the pattern, while the reverse retains stronger colours.

Over three metres long, this flatweave has a varied geometric design and short dark tassels along one end.

Dimensions: approximately 305 × 150 cm
Origin: Morocco

Condition: vintage wear with uneven fading, variations in the weave, some loose threads and wear to the tasselled edge. Please refer to the close-up photographs for details. A rug underlay is recommended on hard floors.
