A vintage Southeast Asian wastepaper basket made from individual lengths of bamboo, bound together around the top and base.
The bamboo has developed considerable variation in colour, from pale honey through to darker mottled brown, with the individual sections of cane left visible throughout the construction.
Originally made as a practical household basket, its smaller proportions also make it useful for storage or as a planter cover with a suitable pot or liner inside.
Good vintage condition with marks, surface wear and variation to the bamboo consistent with age and use. Please refer to photographs.
